“All signals are go as we enter under one minute.”
“T-minus 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1.”

Suddenly I experienced a shuddering like I had never felt before. I thought that the rocket was going to fall apart, and it didn’t move for what seemed like minutes. It just seemed to stay there on the pad.

“Major, we’d like you to start back now. Good job.”
As I turned to get back into the Beast, I yelled, “OMG!!”
“What is it Major?”
“Holly crap! There is a black wall on the horizon. It looks like a cloud of some sort. It must be five miles high!”

“Jet Propulsion, I saw something!” I shouted into the radio.
“Say again, Destiny,” Mission Control replied.
“I saw something. Something in the sky!”

“You wanted to see me, Mr. President?”
“Yes, Jim. Get ahold of your counterpart in China and demand an explanation as to why a spaceship of the People’s Republic of China has landed on American sovereign territory on Mars.”
